Casting Cycles -

An ongoing series of repetitive, habitual and ritualistic actions of production. Articulated through an argued 'mortal' casting process, of oxidized iron sulphate into crystal form and then the adding of synthetics such as PVA and varnish to create anthropomorphized objects that embodied all aspects of a living cycle, creation, passage of time and dissolution, they viscerally show with their own skin their ageing process, and as part of larger components of installation works their dissolution is triggered as part of a ritual that sparks the next physicalized body of work.
